Colnago V1-R Road Bike - 2015, 54s

The Colnago V1-r is less distinctive than the lugged, Italian made C60. But at 835 grams (claimed 52cm painted frame with hardware; fork is 390g uncut), it is also significantly lighter. Though still a touch heavier than many of the premier superbike frames, the V1-r is significantly closer to those benchmarks. Here are some claimed weights for comparison: Cervélo R5, 808g; Wilier Zero.7, 780g; Trek Madone 7-Series, 730g, Cannondale SuperSix EVO Hi-Mod, 695g. Also, the V1-r is slightly lighter than two of the newest and most exciting road frames available: Pinarello’s 860-gram Dogma F8 and Specialized’s 955g (56cm) 2015 Tarmac.
